Teaching design through mentoring and hands-on learning throughout the Bay Area.
Founded in 2015 as Māk (pronounced /meɪk/) by 3 UC Berkeley undergraduates, Acorn is a Bay Area based non-profit that makes STEM accessible by providing design education and fabrication tools!
We aim to bring students' learning to life by teaching STEM through design software, hands-on building and prototyping, and having fun!
We are rooted in Oakland through our current partnerships with the Oakland Public Library, and are looking to branch out to other locations as well!
Interested in bringing Acorn to your middle or high school? Get in touch with us by dropping us an email, using the contact form at the bottom of the page, and by following us on social media.
